Kirkland Signature Congo Medium Dark Roast Coffee Beans are grown in the Bukavu region of the Congo (or full country name the Democratic Republic of Congo) and they are a reasonably sized grower & exporter of high-quality Arabica coffee. The coffee is farmed as a co-operative where the farmers retain investment from crops sold.

Investment is made back into the local community projects. One such project, Rebuild Women’s Hope was established in 2013 invests in the lives of its members, offering pre-harvest, interest-free loans. There are plans for nursery programs and health clinics in the near future. These coffee beans are grown at 1,480 to 2,200 meters and have tasting notes which are bright & smooth with hints of brown sugar.
